Keep your dog safe in Texas hill country

Rattlesnakes are a fact of life around San Marcos — on trails, in the yard, even on the porch. A single session can teach your dog to recognize the sight, sound, and smell of a snake and steer clear of it for the rest of its life.

Training is done outdoors in a controlled setup with safe, defanged or live-but-secured snakes (ask for details). Sessions are one-on-one so the focus stays on your dog.

Arin as a young teen holding a kingsnake
Started young.

Arin has been handling venomous snakes since the age of eight.

What started as a kid in the Texas hill country flipping rocks for racers and ribbon snakes turned into a lifetime of working with the real thing: rattlers, copperheads, cottonmouths, and the occasional non-native oddity. Two decades of hands-on experience — wrangling, relocating, and studying how venomous snakes move, hunt, and warn — is the backbone of every session.

That experience matters because dogs don't learn from a photo or a rubber snake. They learn from the real sight, the real scent, and the real sound of a live rattler — safely staged, always supervised.
